This is the sport of choice in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, I don't get it, but the people doing it seem to love it. It looks very easy to drown in those tiny kayaks.
They start out on shore, then paddle the wee, little kayaks into the middle of the raging Colorado River.
There, they fight the current. They usually wipe-out and paddle back to shore and then do it all over again.

On to the cute town of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. It's a very charming town with a lot of shops and historic buildings. There is also a huge hot springs here.

And, this is the local weed store in Glenwood Springs. Colorado legalized marijuana over a year ago for recreational use. The tax goes to education and public lands. If you ask me (and nobody did), it's a win/win. People use it anyway, so why shouldn't the state benefit from it by taxing it? This was a very cute store. They are VERY careful about checking ID and telling you the laws regarding where you can and can't use it (same as alcohol). It's for responsible adults who enjoy a little herb!
