Amarillo, Texas

I have been here a million times, because it's always where I stay on my way to New Mexico.  This time, I discovered an historic area that was really quaint and nice.  It's along the old Route 66 and there were all kinds of nice shops, restaurants and bars.  It was really enjoyable to see that they have preserved this area, and they even got an historic designation for it.

This is the Cadillac Ranch.  It's a roadside attraction and very popular in Amarillo.  It's 10 Cadillacs half-buried in a very big, open field.  Amarillo has also had a lot of rain and flooding and the Cadillacs are partially covered in red mud and flood waters.  It doesn't stop people from going to see them.
